Shirley Paden’s structured suit jacket is knit in a textured bee stitch. The cuffs on the three-quarter-length sleeves are folded back and notched; the wide belt is knit and faced with fabric.

MATERIALS
• 16 (18, 20, 22) 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 137yd/125m) of Lane Borgosesia/Trendsetter Yarns Merinos Sei (merino wool) in #42000 ash
• One pair each sizes 4 and 6 (3.5 and 4 mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Size 6 (4mm) 12″/30cm circular or double pointed needles
• One size E-4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook
• Four ⅞”/22mm buttons, eight ⅜”/10mm buttons for sleeve cuffs
• One 2″/5cm wide buckle
• ½yd/.5m heavy sew-in facing, ½yd/.5mm light weight cotton jersey in dark grey
• Dark grey sewing thread and needle

GAUGES
• 23 sts = 5″/12.5cm and 44 rows = 4″/10cm over bee st pat using size 6 (4 mm) needles.
• 40 sts = 7″/17.5cm and 53 rows = 6″/15cm over St st using size 6 (4 mm) needles.
