Dress and outfit up with this crocheted bag with 5 tiers of scallop trim and pearl beading.

Difficulty level

MATERIALS
• 4 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 191yd/175m) of Coats & Clark Opera (No. 5 crochet cotton) in #502 cream
• Size F/5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook
• Size D/3 (3.25 mm) crochet hook
• Size 13 or 14 steel crochet hook for beading
• 6 mm round pearl beads in cream/ivory, 70 beads (optional)
• Two lids from small coffee cans or similar lids, 4″/10cm diameter
• Curved nail scissors or sharp pointed craft scissors
• Emery board or fine sandpaper
• Scrap of yarn for marker

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• One size.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• 6½”/16.5cm wide x 8″/20.5cm high x 2″/5cm deep, not including 4½”/11.5cm in diameter handles.

GAUGES
• 20 sts and 22 rows = 4″/10cm over sc with double strand of thread using F/5 (3.75 mm) hook.
• 4 rows of trim pat = approx 1¾”/4.5cm with single-strand of thread using D/3 (3.25 mm) hook (exact gauge not critical).
