Sleeved, buttoned or not, these sweaters share the same casual-chic genes. Both versions sport waist shaping, ribbed edges tipped in the alternate color and a generous cowl collar. The cowl on the vest is picked up around the neck and worked back and forth, while the pullover’s cowl is stitched circularly.

Northfield by Valley Yarns, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 124yd/113m (wool/alpaca/silk)
• 6 (6, 7, 7, 8, 9) balls in #22 purple haze (A)
• 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3) balls in #23 boy blue (B)
• One pair size 6 (4mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One size 8 (5mm) circular needle, 24″/60cm long
• Eleven ¾”/19mm buttons
• Stitch markers
• Stitch holders
