Newton’s cardigan, with its tantalizing scoop neck and flowing A-line body, is knit as one piece to the yoke. The yoke is worked side to side, sewn on and picked up for the cabled rib neck edging.

• For solid color version: 12 (13, 14, 15) 3.5oz/100g balls (each approx 223yd/205m) of Paton’s Classic Wool (wool) in 204 Old Gold
• One pair each sizes 7 and 8 (4.5 and 5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Size 7 (4.5mm) circular needle 32″/80cm length
• Cable needle
• Six 1½”/mm buttons
