This sassy, slouchy hat, knit circularly, features a two-color brioche pattern that swirls gently to the top. Mini I-cord at the top of the crown is a fetching final touch.

Blue Faced Leicester Aran by Debbie Bliss/KFI, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 82yd/75m (wool)
• 1 ball in #16 sage (MC)
• 1 ball in #06 mustard (CC)
• One each sizes 6 and 7 (4 and 4.5mm) circular needles, 16″/40cm long OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One set (4) size 7 (4.5mm) double-pointed needles (dpn)
• Stitch marker
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• Brim circumference (unstretched) 19″/48cm
• Length 9″/23cm
GAUGE
15 sts and 40 rows to 4″/10cm over two-color brioche rib using larger needle.
WELTED SCARF
Note the seductive hourglass shape of this generously sized two-color scarf: Solid-colored bands knit in ribbing cinch in wider brioche-stitch sections.
