Head off the cold with Holmfeld’s chunky cap. Horseshoe cables shape the crown; the flaps and fold-up brim are worked in garter stitch.

• 3 3oz/100g balls (each approx 45yd/41m of Blue Sky Alpaca, Bulky (wool/alpaca) in #1004 polar bear
• Size 13 (9mm) circular, 16″/40cm long OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One set (4) size 13 (9mm) dpn OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Cable needle, size I/9 (5.5mm) crochet hook, stitch holder, stitch marker

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• One size.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• Hat circumference 26″/66cm
• From center top to lower edge of brim 10″/25.5cm

GAUGES
• 8 sts and 20 rows = 4″/10cm over garter st using size 13 (9mm) needles.
• 8 sts and 12 rows = 4″/10cm over cable pat using size 13 (9mm) needles.
