Two varieties of pillow covers—one square, one rectangular—mirror the double seed stitch/cable scheme on the snowy afghan. The backs of both shams secure over a pillow with overlapping ribbed button closures.

Berkshire Bulky by Valley Yarns, 3½oz/100g skeins, each approx 108yd/99m (wool/alpaca)
• 4 skeins in #44 tan heather (A)
• 4 skeins in #46 dark brown heather (B)
• One pair size 10½ (6.5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Three 1½”/38mm buttons for square sham, two 1½”/38mm buttons for rectangular sham
• 18 x 18″/45.5 x 45.5cm pillow form for square sham, 12 x 22″/30.5 x 56cm pillow form for rectangular sham
• Cable needle (cn)

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• Square sham 17 x 17″/43 x 43cm
• Rectangular sham 21 x 12″/53.5 x 30.5cm

GAUGE
14 sts and 28 rows to 4″/10cm over double seed st using size 101⁄2 (6.5mm) needles.
