As smooth as sake, Mari Lynn Patrick’s short-sleeve top is knit with two strands of yarn. The ribbed body is made in one piece, with the front edges picked up and worked in a pattern stitch that scallops at the button band.

• One pair size 8 (5mm) straight needles
• Stitch markers, stitch holders
• Five ⁵/₈“/15mm ball buttons
