Holmfeld’s faux-cabled hat offers a circular interpretation of the traditional Russian headpiece—double strand knitting is used for the cap, earflaps, and back neckpiece, while the fur effect is created by a crocheted loop stitch.

• 3 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 70yd/64m) balls of Trendsetter Yarns Boboli (wool/polyamide/acrylic) in #769 blue bayou
• 2 balls 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 38yd/35m) Trendsetter Yarns Curly (wool/polyamide) in #9 cocoa
• One size 10½ (6.5mm) circular needle, 16″/40cm length OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One set (5) size 10½ (6.5mm) double-pointed needles
• One size K-10½ (6.5mm) crochet hook
• Stitch marker & holders
