This striped cap, knit flat and seamed up the back, sports a fiberfill-stuffed tail. The garter-stitch scarf starts with a masked face shaped by increases and ends with its own adorable striped tail.

Difficulty level

MATERIALS
• 2 skeins in Merino by Frog Tree Yarns, 1¾oz/50g skeins, each approx 137yd/125m (merino wool) in #7 brown (A)
• 1 skein each in #100 black (B) and #0 natural (C)
• One pair each size 5 (3.75mm) and 7(4.5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One size 4/E (3.5mm) crochet hook (for nose)
• Polyester stuffing
• 2 white ½”/1.5cm 4-hole buttons
• Black thread and embroidery needle

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• Sized for child.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• 4 x 42″/10 x 106.5cm (tip to paw)

GAUGES
• 20 sts and 28 rows to 4″/10cm over St st using larger needles.
• 22 sts and 34 rows to 4″/10cm over garter st using larger needles.
