These basic squares are double-knit in a slip-stitch pattern; one side is solid, the other striped. An extended bit of the crocheted edging forms a hanging loop.

MATERIALS
• 2 balls of Merino-Cotton 90 by Schulana/Skacel Collection, Inc., 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 98yd/90m (wool/cotton) each in #12 pink, #32 purple, #7 grass, #30 azure, #53 pistachio, #9 orange
• Two size 9 (5.5mm) dpn OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One pair size 10 (6mm) needles
• Size I (5.5mm) crochet hook
NOTE To make set of 3 potholders 2 balls of each color are needed, to make 1 single potholder only 1 ball of the 3 colors used is needed.

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• One size.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• Approximately 6½”/16.5cm square before crocheted edging

GAUGE
• 24 sts and 40 rows to 4″/10cm over slip st pattern using size 9 (5.5mm) dpn and 2 strands of yarn held tog.
