An open garter-lace pattern airs out this cushy top, equally at home over jeans, capris or a skirt. If you’ve only knit a sweater from the bottom up or top down, here’s your chance to try your hand at side-to-side construction.

Riveting Worsted by Kolláge Yarns, 3½oz/100g hanks, each approx 163yd/149m (recycled cotton/other)
• 6 (6, 7) hanks in #8108 lava denim
• One size 8 (5mm) circular needle, 24″/60cm long OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One size 7 (4.5mm) crochet hook
• Stitch markers

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• Bust 42 (46, 50)”/106.5 (117, 127)cm
• Length 27 (27, 28)”/68.5 (68.5, 71.5)cm
• Upper arm 11 (11, 13)”/28 (28, 33)cm

GAUGE
20 sts to 6″/15cm and 24 rows to 4″/10cm over mesh pat st using size 8 (5mm) needles.
