A richly colored stockinette afghan and coordinating pillows pop with bright crocheted accent stripes. The horizontal stripes are knit in; the vertical stripes are crocheted into the purl stitches.

Wynter by Classic Elite Yarns, 3½oz/100g hanks, each approx 120yd/108m(alpaca/wool)
For bright olive background pillow
• 3 hanks in #7681 bright olive (D)
• 1 hank each in #7693 deep teal (A); #7647 dusty teal (light blue B) and #7615 forest glen (C)
For dusty teal background pillow
• 3 hanks #7647 dusty teal (light blue B)
• 1 hank each in #7693 deep teal (A), #7615 forest glen (C) and #7681 bright olive (D)
For afghan
• 9 hanks in #7693 deep teal (A)
• 1 hank each in #7647 dusty teal (light blue B), #7615 forest glen (C) and #7681 bright olive (D)
La Gran by Classic Elite Yarns, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 106yd/97m (mohair/wool/nylon)
For both pillows and afghan
• 1 ball in #6525 sunflower (E)
For teal pillow and afghan only
• 1 ball in #6572 underappreciated green (F)
• Size 10½ (6.5mm) circular needle, 32″/80cm long (or longer if desired) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Additional size 10½ (6.5mm) circular needle for pillows only
• One size 10½ (6.5mm) double-pointed needle (dpn) for pillow edging
• Size K (6.5mm) crochet hook (for working vertical stripes)
• Two pillow forms 18″/46cm square

GAUGE
14 sts and 18 rows to 4″/10cmover plaid st pat and stripe pat using larger needles.
