They may not make Chanel for infants, but this set comes close. The ribbon-closed top is worked in one piece from side to side, while the pants are knit from the cuffs up.

• 2 (3, 3, 4) balls in #11 Fruit Salad of Minestrone by Trendsetter Yarns, Inc., 3½oz/100g balls, each approx 110yd/100m (polyamide/acrylic/polyester metallic)
• 4 (5, 6, 8) balls in #11 Black of Merino Otto 8-Ply by Lane Borgosesia, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 100yd/92m (merino wool)
• One pair size 8 (5mm) needles OR SIZE TO GET THE GAUGE
• Size 8 (5mm) circular needle, 24″/60cm length
• Size G/6 (4.5mm) crochet hook
• 2yd/2m of ⁷/₈“/22mm wide silk ribbon
