Clever construction lends a 3-D effect to what is at its core a stockinette cap with a deeply ribbed brim. The K3, P3 ribbing extends into individual I-cords, which are gathered and secured in a topknot.

• 2 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 94yd/85m) of Tahki Yarns/Tahki•Stacy Charles, Inc. Torino (extrafine merino wool) each in #148 royal blue (A) and #117 teal (B)
• One size 7 (4.5mm) circular needle, 16″/40cm long OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One set (4) size 7 (4.5mm) double-pointed needles (dpns)
• Stitch marker

GAUGE
• 14 sts and 24 rnds = 4″/10cm over St st using 2 strands held tog and size 7 (4.5mm) circular needle.
