This evocative afghan is created by sewing colorblocked garter-stitch strips together in a pattern inspired by Southwestern rug motifs. This piece would also make a spectacular wall hanging.

Wool Ease Chunky by Lion Brand Yarns, 5oz/140g skeins, each approx 153yd/140m (acrylic/wool)
• 6 skeins in #110 indigo (MC)
• 4 skeins each in 114 redwood (A) and #133 pumpkin (B)
• 1 skein in #131 moss (C)
• One pair size 10½ (6.5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

GAUGE
• 14 sts and 23 rows to 4″/10cm over garter st using 101⁄2 (6 5mm) needles.
