Just a few modifications on one basic pattern turn these leather-corded slippers into a sole-stirring treat for a man or a woman. The slippers are made in pieces—the sole is stitched flat, then the upper is picked up and knit flat for grandpa or shaped with short rows around the toe for grandma.

• One set (5) size 11 (8mm) double-pointed needles (dpn) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Two 36″/91cm strands of leather cord from www.firemountaingems.com (product #H20-2479BS)
• Removable stitch markers

GAUGE
