The macabre goes folk-art with these dolls—embroidered on the front, they are knit in two pieces before being stuffed, sewn together, and topped off with knotted braids.

Difficulty level

MATERIALS
• 1 ball each in #158 Buttercup, #100 White, #102 Ranch Red, and #153 Black of Wool-Ease by Lion Brand, 3oz/85g balls, each approx 197yd/180m (acrylic/wool)
• 1 ball in #153 Black of Lamé by Lion Brand, ½oz/19g balls, each approx 75yd/67m (rayon/metalized polyester)
• One pair size 8 (5mm) knitting needles OR SIZE TO GET GAUGE
• Tapestry needle, polyfil

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• Instructions available for large size doll only.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• Small 7″ x 4½”/18 x 11.5cm
• Medium 9½” x 7″/24 x 18cm
• Large 13″ x 8½”/33 x 21.5cm

GAUGE
• 18 sts and 24 rows to 4″/10cm over St st using size 8 (5mm) needles.
