CHECKERBOARD AND FLOOR CUSHIONS

A playable checkerboard pillow and coordinating floor cushions are worked in Tunisian simple stitch; separate bobbins keep track of each colorblocking shade. The “checkers” are simple crocheted circles.

Soft Cotton by Tahki Yarns/Tahki•Stacy Charles, Inc., 3½oz/100g hanks, each approx 179yd/165m (cotton)
• 3 hanks in #023 dark red (A),
• 2 hanks each in #002 ecru (B) and #024 black (C)
• Size I/9 (5.5mm) Tunisian crochet hook OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• 22 x 22 x 2″/56 x 56 x 5cm foam pillow form (from thefoamfactory.com)
• Bobbins
• One 22″/56cm zipper (optional)
