Cables and bobbles. Raglan armholes and garter stitch edging. Knitted frogs for front closures, a tassel on top. These are a few of our favorite things about Michelle Woodford’s Aran cardigan and hat.

• 7 (8, 8, 9) 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 77yd/70m) of Filatura di Crosa/Tahki•Stacy Charles, Inc. Zara Plus (wool) in #403 pink
• One pair size 10 (6mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Two size 9 (5.5mm) dpn for I-cord
• Cable needle
• Stitch holders and markers
Hat
• 2 balls in #403 pink
• One set (4) dpn size 10 (6mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Cable needle

Cardigan sized for Baby’s 6 (12, 18, 24) months; hat sized for one size. Cardigan shown in size 12 months.

GAUGES
• 17 sts and 22 rows to 4″/10cm over St st using size 10 (6mm) needles.
• 6 sts to 1″/2.5cm and 22 rows to 4″/10cm over 6-st cable using size 10 (6mm) needles.
