This stunning multidirectional cabled shrug, which Gaughan dubs a “capecho,” is knit one five-cable pentagon at a time. The sleeves are 2×2-rib extensions of a pentagon.

• 11 (13, 15, 17, 19) 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 92yd/85m) of Berroco, Inc. Pure Merino (extra fine merino) in #8528 cocoon
• One pair size 9 (5.5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Cable needle
• Tapestry needle
