Begin this hat by working the ribbed border back and forth, then work the crown in the round, switching to stockinette. A purl ridge divides the border from the crown. A sewn-on buckle closure allows you to adjust the width of the bottom border.

Lova by My Mountain/Schachenmayr Original, 1¾oz/50g skeins, each approx 55yd/50m (acrylic/wool/polyamide)
• 2 skeins in #00087 beige/orange
• Size 10½ (6.5mm) circular needle, 16″/40cm long OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One set (4) size 101⁄2 (6.5mm) double-pointed needles (dpn)
• Stitch marker
• Tab closure with buckle from M&J Trimming (www.mjtrim.com), style #56838001 in brown
• Coordinating color thread and sewing needle
