Knit Simple Holiday 2011 #11

Count down the days by stitching up 24 simple rectangles (striped or solid), then folding them in half and sewing them up the sides to form pockets that hold little surprises. The numbers are cut out of felt and attached with fabric glue.

MATERIALS
Liberty Wool by Classic Elite Yarns, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 122yd/111m (wool)
• 2 balls each in #7815 bright olive (A) #7801 bleach (B), #7858 scarlet (C)
• One pair size 7 (4.5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Felt fabric in red and white
• Approx 8yd/7.5m red ribbon (optional)
• Fabric glue
• 3yd/3m of ½”/1.5cm cord

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
Approximately 4 x 3½”/10 x 9cm folded

GAUGE
18 sts and 36 rows to 4″/10cm over garter st using size 7 (4.5mm) needles.
