She’ll sparkle in this slouchy welted toque. The hat’s main body is knit in the round using “Shimmer” from the wide ribbed brim up; the squirrel and acorns are worked separately using “Sport,” then they’re stuffed and attached in finishing.

MATERIALS
Shimmer by Red Heart, 3½oz/100g balls, each approx 280yd/256m (acrylic/metallic polyester)
• 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) balls in #1625 lime (A) Sport by Red Heart, 2½oz/70g skeins, each approx 165yd/150m (acrylic)
• 1 skein in #361 wood brown (B)
• 1 skein in #322 fawn (C)
• One each sizes 8 and 9 (5 and 5.5 mm) circular needle, 16″/40cm long OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One set (4) size 9 (5.5mm) double-pointed needles (dpn)
• One pair size 4 (3.5mm) needles
• One pair size 3 (3.25mm) double-pointed needles (dpn)
• Stitch marker
• 3 black seed beads, needle and matching thread
• Approx 1yd/1m of ⅝”/15mm-wide gingham ribbon
• Stuffing
• Thick bristle or pet brush
