This sunny placemat is worked in one- and two-color slip-stitch bands and embellished with fabric flowers (template provided), beads and vintage buttons.

MATERIALS
• 1 ball of Coton Fifty by Bergère de France 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 153yd/140m (cotton/acrylic) each in #200.751 bourgeon (A), #231.321 cytise (B), #216.201 aigue marine (C)
• One pair size 8 (5mm) knitting needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• 6 scraps of cotton and/or wool flannel fabric approx 4″/10cm square
• 3 buttons and/or beads for flower centers
• Small amount of fusible interfacing (optional)
• Sewing needle and thread

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• One size.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• 18 x 14″/45.5 x 35.5cm

GAUGE
• 26 sts and 50 rows to 4″/10cm over slip stitch pat using size 8 (5mm) needles.
