This woodsy cozy with owl features stays put around a toasty kettle thanks to side loop and bobble closures. The owl’s face—ears, beak and eyes—are made using different shades of multicolored yarn in browns and tans.

Cotton Supreme Batik by Universal Yarn, 3½oz/100g skeins, each approx 180yd/165m (cotton)
• 1 skein in #22 waffle cone (browns)
• One size 7 (4.5mm) circular needle 16″/40cm long OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One set (4) size 7 (4.5mm) double pointed needles (dpn)
• Stitch markers and stitch holders
• Yarn needle

SIZES
To fit standard 18″/45.5cm teapot.

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• Circumference at lower edge 16″/40.5cm
• Length 7¼”/18.5cm

GAUGE
18 sts and 30 rnds to 4″/10cm over St st using size 7 (4.5mm) needles.

This sunny apron with a ruffled hemline is home to a friendly owl that does double duty as a pocket. Like the owl
teapot cozy, the bird eyes on the pocket are rendered in shades of brown and tan.
