A twisted I-cord trim acts as built-in jewelry at the edges of a simple stockinette sweater. See workshop on last page for an I-cord brush-up. Go for a rainbow effect: Use different colors of I-cord trim at the neckline, cuffs and waist.

Minnow Merino by Jil Eaton/Classic Elite Yarns, 1¾oz/50g hanks, each approx 77yd/70m (superwash wool)
• 6 (7, 7) hanks in #4751 mango (MC)
• 1 hank in #4785 orangini (CC)
• One pair size 8 (5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Size 8 (5mm) circular needle, 24″/60cm long
• One set (3) double-pointed needles (dpn), size 8 (5mm)
• Stitch holders
• Stitch markers
• One ¾”/19mm button

• Chest 25 (28, 30)”/63.5 (71, 76)cm
• Length 13½ (14½, 16)”/34 (37, 40.5)cm
• Upper arm 12 (13, 14)”/30.5 (33, 35.5)cm

GAUGE
18 sts and 24 rows to 4″/10cm over St st using size 8 (5mm) needles.
