Two toys in one, the squirrel—with a white belly worked as a separate appliqué and sewn on—is stuffed with the finished hedgehog. Both figures are then sewn together at the cast-on edge to create a fully reversible toy.

• 1 skein each in #8 chocolate, #101 off-white, #9 silver grey
• Small amounts in #33 pumpkin, #102 beige, #29 camel
• One set (4) size 6 (4mm) double-pointed needles (dpn) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Yarn needle and scissors
• Open stitch markers
• Black embroidery floss
• Fiberfill
