A cheerful motif gives heart to this heating-pad cover. The one-piece front is knit in stockinette, with garter-stitch edging and a checkerboard-style frame; the two-piece back, knit in stockinette, cleverly forms an overlap opening for a purchased buckwheat heating pad.

MATERIALS
With Love by Red Heart, 7oz/198g skeins, each approx 370yd/338m (acrylic)
• 1 skein each in #1101 egg shell (A) and #1909 holly berry (B)
• One pair size 9 (5.5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One heating pad approx 8 x 10″/20.5 x 25.5cm (sample uses Bucky Compact Wrap)
• Stitch markers
• Bobbins

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Approx 9 x 10½”/23 x 26.5cm

GAUGE
14 sts and 20 rows = 4″/10cm over St st using size 9 (5.5mm) needles.
