Dapper dachshunds with embroidered-on faces decorate the front of this cushion. Blocks of color created intarsia-style provide visual punch; garter-stitch bands separate each motif and anchor the button closure on the back. Knitted I-cord makes a cute 3-D tail for each perky pup.

Valley Superwash by Valley Yarns, 1¾oz/50g skeins, each approx 97yd/89m (wool)
• 2 skeins each in #913 mauve (A) and #502 colonial blue (B)
• 1 skein each in #694 spring leaf (C), #419 biscuit (D) and #263 misty lilac (E)
• One pair size 7 (4.5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One set (5) size 7 (4.5mm) double-pointed needles (dpn)
• Size G/6 (4mm) crochet hook
• Four ⁵⁄8“/16mm buttons for back closure
• Two ³⁄8“/10mm buttons for eyes
• One 12 x 16″/30.5 x 40.5cm pillow form
• Embroidery needle
