A sly design conceals this coat’s foxy nature—until the creature-feature hood is pulled up. The pockets and contrast back border are worked first, then folded and joined to the body; the eyes are duplicate-stitched and finished with decorative buttons. The tweedy yarn lends woodsy charm to forest-friend fashion.

Encore Tweed by Plymouth Yarn Company, 3½oz/100g skeins, each approx 220yd/183m (acrylic/wool/rayon)
• 2 (3, 3, 4) skeins in #T212 brick (A)
• 1 skein in #1237 granola taupe (B)
• Two size 8 (5mm) circular needles, each 24″/60cm long OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One extra size 8 (5mm) knitting needle
• Six ¾”/20mm buttons
• Two ³⁄8“/10mm buttons (for eyes)
• One ¾”/20mm button (for nose)
• Stitch markers and holders
• Tapestry needle
• Scrap yarn
