This textural vest is crocheted in the most basic of all Tunisian stitches—the aptly named Tunisian simple stitch (TSS). Once you’ve mastered TSS, you can go back to your comfort zone: The vest’s outside borders are picked up and knit in garter stitch.

Kersti Merino Crepe by Koigu Wool Designs, 1¾oz/50g hanks, each approx 114yd/104m (wool)
• 7 (7, 8, 9, 10) hanks in #1182 pink
• Size 7 (4.5mm) Tunisian crochet hook with cable OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Two size 7 (4.5mm) circular needles, one 16″/40cm and one 40″/100cm or longer OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• Stitch markers

GAUGES
• 14½ sts and 14½ rows to 4″/10cm over TSS using size 7 (4.5mm) Tunisian crochet hook.
• 16 sts and 32 rows to 1″/2.5cm over garter st using size 7 (4,5mm) needles.
