Stripes add an edgy element to basic cables worked on a simple reverse stockinette background. The armholes and neck finish up easily with a narrow rib that’s picked up along the edges.

Donegal Tweed by Tahki Yarns/Tahki•Stacy Charles, 3½oz/100g hanks, each approx 183yd/167m (wool)
• 3 (3, 4, 4, 4) hanks in #831 fawn/autumn tweed (A)
• 1 hank each in #869 dark taupe (B) #832 bright red (C) and #801 tan (D)
• One pair each sizes 7 and 8 (4.5 and 5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One size 7 (4.5mm) circular needle, 16″/40cm long
• Cable needle (cn)
• Stitch markers

GAUGE
18 sts and 26 rows to 4″/10cm over reverse St st using size 8 (5mm) needles.
Each 9-st cable measures 1½”/4cm wide.
