These cherry red Austrian mitts are knit in an organic merino wool and embellished with crocheted flowers and leaves. If you want to take the Austrian theme further, crochet the flowers in edelweiss white.

Difficulty level

MATERIALS
• 2 balls in Nimbus by Zitron/Skacel Collection, Inc., 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 110yd/100m (organic merino wool) in #407 cherry (MC) and 1 ball each in #406 tomato (A) and #410 sage (B)
• One pair each sizes 6 and 8 (4 and 5mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
• One size E/4 (3.5mm) crochet hook
• Stitch holders
• Tapestry needle

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• One size.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• Circumference 7½”/19cm (above thumb)
• Length 10″/25.5cm

GAUGE
• 20 sts and 26 rows to 4″/10cm over St st using larger needles.
