Double strands of self-banding yarn are used to create these hot pants, complete with patch pockets featuring a heart and star on the backside.

MATERIALS
• 4 balls in #201 Denim Stripe of Magic Stripes by Lion Brand, 3½oz/100g balls, each approx 330yd/300m (wool/nylon)
• 1 ball each in #113 Ruby and #150 Silver of Glitterspun by Lion Brand, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 115yd/105m (acrylic/cupro/polyester)
• One each size 10 (6mm) circular needles, 16" and 20"/40 and 50cm long OR SIZE TO GET GAUGE
• One pair size 8 (5mm) needles for appliqués only
• Size H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
• Stitch markers
• Two 1-inch/TKmm buttons

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• Sized for one size to fit hip size 32-36"/81-91cm.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• Hip 30"/76cm
• Length 24"/61cm

GAUGE
• 14 sts and 20 rows to 4"/10cm over St st using 2 strands of Magic Stripes and size 10 (6mm) needles.
