This ribbon-tied needle roll is as attractive as it is practical, fashioned in a tweed stitch to create a dense, rumple-free knit ideal for rolling up. Fabric lining provides extra sturdiness.

MATERIALS
• Three 50g/1¾oz balls (each approx 84m/92yd) of Debbie Bliss/KFI Cotton DK (cotton) in Seafoam 9
• Pair of 5mm (US 8) knitting needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN TENSION
• 23cm x 60cm/9in x 23½" piece of fusible interfacing
• 26cm x 63cm/10¼" x 24¾" piece of lining fabric
• Matching sewing thread
• 80cm/31½" of 1cm/½" wide petersham ribbon or tape

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• To fit a set of 8 pairs of knitting needles up to 35cm/14in long.

TENSIONS
• 22 sts and 40 rows to 10cm/4in over tweed st using 5mm (US 8) needles.
