Ribbed covers for both pot and cups keep the drinks warm and the company
content. The tea cozy is worked in two pieces, with gaps left in the seams to
accommodate the handles and spout; the mug covers button snugly beneath the cup
handles.
MATERIALS Teapot Cozy • One 50g/1¾oz ball
(each approx 84m/92yd) of Debbie Bliss/KFI Cotton DK (cotton) in each
of Seafoam 9 (MC) and Brown 32 (CC) • Pair of 4mm (US 6) knitting needles OR
SIZE TO OBTAIN TENSION Mug Cozies • One ball each in
Brown 32 (MC) and for CC, Pale Pink 16, Seafoam 9, and Moss 20 • Pair of 4mm
(US 6) knitting needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN TENSION • One small button per
cozy • 10cm/4in of narrow ribbon for each cozy
KNITTED MEASUREMENTS Teapot • To fit
a family sized 10 cup “Brown Betty” teapot Mug Cozies •
24cm x 8cm/91/2in x 3in to fit a straight sided plain mug, 10cm/4in high and
8cm/3in diameter
TENSIONS • 20 sts and 30 rows to 10cm/4in over patt using
4mm (US 6) needles.
