Set a strikingly contemporary table with these chunky placemats. Essentially fast-finishing rectangles of cushiony moss stitch, they’re knit with two strands held together.

MATERIALS
• Two 50g/1¾oz balls (each approx 42m/46yd) of Debbie Bliss/KFI Como (wool/cashmere) each in Black 1, Gray 2, Ecru 3, Beige 4, Chocolate 15 and Camel 16
• Pair of 12mm (US 17) knitting needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN TENSION

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• Approximately 28cm x 23cm/11in x 9in

TENSIONS
• 7.5 sts and 13 rows to 10cm/4in over moss st using 12mm (US 17) needles and yarn held doubled.
