This short-sleeved sweater pays homage to British style of the 1940s, yet its color scheme—delicate pastels dancing on a neutral gray background—is up to the minute. Knit in Rialto 4-ply.

MATERIALS
• 5 (6) 50g/1¾oz balls (each approx 181m/198yd) of Debbie Bliss/KFI Rialto 4-Ply (extrafine merino wool) in Gray 4 (A) and one ball each in Yellow 16 (B), Light Green 15 (C), Aqua 12 (D), Light Pink 10 (E) and Ecru 2 (F)
• Pair each of 2.75mm (US 2) and 3.25mm (US 3) knitting needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN TENSION
• 2.75mm (US 2) and 3.25mm (US 3) circular needles
• 3 small buttons

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• Sized to fit bust 81–86 (91–97)cm/32–34 (36–38)in and shown for 81–86cm/32–34in.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• Bust 90 (97.5)cm/35½ (38)in
• Length 52 (56)cm/20½ (22)in
• Sleeve length 11.5 (9.5)cm/4½ (3¾)in

TENSION
• 32 sts and 34 rows to 10cm/4in square over Fair Isle St st using 3.25mm (US 3) needles.
