The belt is a focal point, in this capelike coat, that threads through slits in back and front to tie in a pretty bow. It’s done in a mock rib using a heathery grape shade of Donegal Luxury Tweed Aran.
MATERIALS
• 14 (15, 17, 18) 50g/1¾oz balls (each approx 88m/96yd) of Debbie Bliss/KFI Donegal Luxury Tweed Aran (wool/angora) in Grape 5
• Pair each 4mm (US 6) and 5mm (US 8) knitting needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN TENSION
• 4mm (US 6) circular needle
• Stitch markers
KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• Sized to fit bust 81–86 (92–97, 102–107, 112–117)cm/32–34 (36–38, 40–42, 44–46)in and shown for size 81–86cm/32–34in.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• Width (excluding armbands) 69 (75, 81, 87)cm/27¼ (29½, 30¾, 34¼)in
• Length to back neck 76 (79, 81.5, 84)cm/30 (31, 32, 33)in
TENSION
• 20 sts and 26 rows to 10cm/4in square over patt using 5mm (US 8) needles.
