Intarsia-knit argyle squares provide the detailing for these perfect-for-layering socks. Knit flat from the ribbing to the ankle, the stitches are joined and worked in the round from heel to toe.

• 2 hanks in #36ns Chocolate of Shepherd Sock by Lorna’s Laces, 2oz/57g hanks, each approx 215yd/197m (superwash wool/nylon)
• 1 skein each in #47ns Carol Green and #50ns Poppy
• One pair size 1 (2.5mm) needles OR SIZE TO GET THE GAUGE
• One set (5) size 1 (2.5mm) double-pointed needles
• Stitch markers

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
• One size Ladies 7–9.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• Foot length 9"/23cm
• Ankle circumference 7"/18cm
• Calf circumference 10"/25.5cm

GAUGE
• 32 sts and 44 rows to 4"/10cm over St st.
