Variegated yarn imbues this button-closed bag with vibrant color patterning. The bag is worked in a pillar stitch and lined with plastic canvas.

• 2 skeins in Frida Kahlo of Laurel by Schaefer Yarns, 8oz/227g skeins, each approx 400yd/366m (mercerized pima cotton)
• One pair size 6 (4mm) needles OR SIZE TO GET THE GAUGE
• One size E-4 (3.5mm) crochet hook
• 1yd/1m lining fabric
• One 1¹/₈"/29mm button
• 12½" x 3"/32cm x 8cm plastic needlepoint canvas
• Sewing needle and thread to match lining fabric
• 1 pair black 16"/40mm wood handles
• 4 stitch markers

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• 12½" x 13" x 3"/32cm x 33cm x 8cm

GAUGE
• 23 sts and 24 rows to 4"/10cm over Pillar st.
